This old map of Clinton, Connecticut was published in 1881 by O.H. Bailey. Oakley Hoops Bailey was one of the most prolific map publishers of the 19th century and spent a majority of his career publishing beautiful hand drawn “bird’s eye views” of small American towns.
The map shows a bird’s eye view of Clinton, CT as it looked toward the end of the 19th century. Notable landmarks on the map include The Morgan School, Bacon House, Clinton House, Town Hall, and a Bacon, Fish, Oyster & Meat Market.
