RELIGION has to do with the refinement and ennobling of your best faculties. It seeks to raise you from commonplace, material things to spiritual ideals. Surely it is only reasonable that you should devote some portion of each day to the study and contemplation of things which are eternal and enduring. Faith seeks to inculcate in you the divine qualities of love, humility, and patience, to bring you into consciously closer relationship to God, and to direct your steps toward spiritual heights. All the truly great men of the world have been highly religious, for religion and greatness are practically synonymous. As you study God’s word, and apply His teaching to your daily life, you will experience a new and uplifting joy in all you do.
