Equilibrium As Proof of Creation
Throughout the universe there is a wonderful equilibrium of one thing to another. The earth in its nature is very different from the sea, and the sea from the earth; but each harmonizes with its inhabitants as well as the other.
Earth serves as home to man, because the sun sits at an ideal distance to provide light, heat, and life. The gravity of the planets harmonize with each other. Animals consume oxygen and exhale carbon, while with plants the operation is reversed. Without plants, the animals would perish, and the plants would not exist without the carbon dioxide animals are constantly imparting to the air.
The balance of the atmosphere is further maintained by the great winds, which force the air in perpetual currents from the equator to the poles, and the reverse. This equilibrium instilled by Divine Wisdom pervades and harmonizes all of creation.
