Be not like those who remain mediocre all their lives rather than acknowledge their faults and shortcomings. Be quick to recognize your own defects and to take prompt measures to remedy them. Your best development depends upon your willingness and readiness to see your own limitations, and to plan intelligently for better personal means and methods.
If you are conscious of a fault in yourself, do not rest content until you have eradicated it. If you feel there is some quality or characteristic which you should develop more highly, give your best efforts to that purpose. It is your sacred duty to make the most of the powers that have been conferred upon you, and to develop yourself constantly toward a still higher standard.
